My Sister's Story by, Angela Jackson-Pollock

My sister, Sharon Jackson is in desperate need of a Mobility Van. She has been confined to a wheelchair and suffers from Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis. Since getting her chair Sharon has fallen several times trying to keep her ability to walk. She recently acquired health benefits and now can resume her medical treatments. She is the mother of 3 small beautiful children. She and her husband are now separated and now she is left alone to rear the children. Sharon and her kids were evicted from their apartment a few days after Christmas 2011 and are living at the Value Place Motel in Lexington, until she is able to find Housing Assistance.
We are pleading with each and every one of you to reach way down deep in your heart and hear the cry of this 8-year-old young child and his Mother who so desperately need our help!
Her son is 8 years old and has been left with the responsibility of assisting his mom with getting her 200 lb wheelchair on and off her van and manually putting together the ramp that is to be used for the wheelchair. This is quite a heavy load and responsibility for such a young child to undertake! Her son has faithfully assisted his mom but lately has spoken with his mom and told her that he is uncomfortable; he doesn’t want the responsibility, he just wants to be a kid. Oh how heartbreaking that is for a Mother to have to see her child suffer on her behalf!

We are pleading with each and every one of you to reach way down deep in your heart and hear the cry of this 8-year-old young child and his Mother who so desperately need our help!
If 1000 people could donate at least $50, this would cover the cost of the Mobility Van that she so desperately needs and help her gain a little financial assistance as she seeks a new residence for she and her kids. If you are unable to donate $50, whatever you are able to donate would be so greatly appreciated!
